TfL's new poster campaign using Mr Men and Little Miss characters seems flawed.
-
Sure, Mr Dizzy should get off at the next station if he feels dizzy. But he'll feel dizzy on the platform too. He'll feel dizzy everywhere.
-
He will always feel dizzy. He's Mr Dizzy. It's extreme nominative determinism.
-
Similarly Little Miss Stubborn won't move down inside the carriage because she is, by definition, stubborn.
-
Also, as @helensulis pointed out, 'stubborn' is a word, like 'bossy', disproportionately applied pejoratively to women and not to men.
