          1. Celeste is one of the most beautiful and affecting games that I've ever played. It really represents the intensity of anxiety and depression in such a beautiful way. I was in tears multiple times while playing through it.

I was a little concerned about the difficulty since I'm not into masocore games at all. But the platforming mechanics are so smooth that it's a joy to play. It's scrupulously fair w/r/t failing and failing until you succeed.

Most importantly, if the game wasn't difficult - if it wasn't a challenge - then the narrative wouldn't work. You need to feel what the player character, Madeline, feels. And like her, you need to push through it.

In terms of both difficulty and satisfaction with beating the game despite the difficulty, Celeste reminds me a lot of my experience with Bloodborne. Another stellar gaming experience.
