  1. If you watch Twin Peaks from the start, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992) and Twin Peaks S03 aren't the jarring transition in tone and style that they appear. That transition happens between Twin Peaks E28 and E29.

Twin Peaks E29 has a huge shift back towards Lynchian aesthetics away from the quirky Peaks that the S02 writing team had been developing. It makes E29 transition nicely to FWWM and S03.

Anyway, after the lows of Twin Peaks S02, E29 has got me re-excited for the highs of FWWM and S03. The pure, unfiltered eerie Twin Peaks shit.

This scene from E29 is a great precursor to S03: surrealism; steadfastly Lynchian aesthetics and camera framing; a focus on Cooper's experience in the Lodge; a real singer singing a full song; an undefined sense of unease youtu.be/2vOg0HyJpvI

I just love this scene so much. I want to show it to anyone who has never watched Twin Peaks.
