I watched all of David Fincher's Zodiac (2007) and they never even mentioned Ted Cruz. smdh.
-
Zodiac is a terrific film though: @NoChorus was right.
-
It's made me want to go away and read all I can about the Zodiac killings even though I know that's antithetical to the point of the film.
-
Through more or less just the form of the film, it pushes you towards the same kind of puzzle-solving obsession as the characters.
-
While also telling you that, hey, actually, this kind of obsession is unhealthy, irrational, and prurient.
-
I don't think I've seen a film that ratchets up the tension so consistently and effectively. And all ratcheting towards lack of resolution.
-
In that sense, it's similar to JFK (1991) but so much subtler and so much more effective and viscerally scary.
