      1. Isn't it interesting how some shop names get wrongly pluralised in casual conversation? Tescos, Maplins, Marks & Spencers, etc.

      Consensus seems to be that it's a possessive rather than a plural. Which makes a lot of sense.

    Similar to using "I'm going to John's." as a substitute for "I'm going to John's house." I'm going to Maplin's southeast London location.
