As per this article, LIS workers should educate themselves about encryption tech and digital protection so they can protect users.

So e.g. VPNs, PGP-encrypted email, key encryption, the Tor network, open-source software, Linux/Unix, changes to online behaviour, etc.

And, for god's sake, let's stop sending patron data across the internet to cloud-hosted vendor servers over which we have no control.
