With digital clocks becoming more prevalent, can I suggest we replace 'counter-clockwise' with 'widdershins' from now on?
-
This leads to an interesting question: could one understand a digital clock without any conception of an analog clockface?
-
Isn't a digital clock just a numeric-only representation of the physical clock-face? Can the two be separated conceptually or not?
-
Or is it just that my subjective perception of time is so closely tied to the analog clock-face that I can't conceive of time otherwise?
