      1. I know the idea of this stressed a lot of people out but I am disappointed that Ref 2029 won't mandate open access for monograph outputs. Bearing in mind that I work on an open access books project, I think this is a huge blow for expanding the UK OA book publishing ecosystem. @KateFONeill/1823677702399754276

      Also saying this with a big caveat around the efficacy of Ref as an exercise and the idea of promoting open access through "mandates" and "compliance". REF is always bad but there was the potential to use it for a end that is ultimately good.
