@s_t_ali @DocPhoenix Short answer: community-driven open source alternatives. Some libraries could talk to one another and come together to share the costs of setting up a multi-tenant server (and dedicated technical staff) to provide library systems using open source software.

@s_t_ali @DocPhoenix The Bloomsbury Library Systems Replacement Project tried to do this many years ago but management decisions meant it fell apart. The community model could still work.
