  1. Musk is clearly lying. There were reports on Thursday and Friday of people suddenly having their API access restricted. Twitter probably turned off critical API infrastructure (their expired Google Cloud servers) and this affected the front-end because it uses the API.

      Musk has then post hoc invented the post limit story to cover up the incompetence because the API's 'rate limit expired' message is being passed through to the front-end and so the word 'limit' needs to be in his cover story.

        This is why Twitter is working inconsistently between browser and Android app. This is why their supposed post limitation feature has no specific error messages and only an error message which happens to be exactly what you'd get if the API weren't working.
