So I took a wrong turn going down The Fruin: I had to climb two fences which should have clued me in but I was confident in my shortcut. While going the wrong way, a large bird flew out of the heather with a wingspan of about a metre. I figured maybe a Buzzard.Permalink On Internet Archive

They did this for a good while getting progressively closer until I turned around and left their territory. Exhilarating at first but genuinely a little scary after they continued to threaten me. I hope I didn't disturb their nesting.Permalink On Internet Archive
