    1. Celebrating adding the 100th bird species to my life list with the dozens of Black-tailed Godwits we saw at @RSPBScotland Black Devon Wetlands. We also saw some cute juvenile Mute Swans and a cheeky Little Ringed Plover.

    Also Little Grebes, Northern Lapwings, and this Grey Heron looking particularly Velociraptor-ish.

        Footnote: eBird says I have 100 species on my life list but the Merlin app, despite drawing on the same dataset, says I have 101. Merlin counts the Indian Peafowl that I logged in the Bois de Vincennes in Paris despite it obviously not being a naturalised species there.
