Rewatched the first episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine last night and I appreciate how it pushes the audience towards Sisko as the new commander by pushing us away from Picard. I couldn't see them making Picard as much of a dick as he is in this episode today.Permalink On Internet Archive
