Best Avanti journey in months. By which I mean the train there arrived six minutes late and the train home is only running five minutes late. That's what counts as a terrific service when you're using England's rail network.
-
Back at it again, leaving the comforting regularity of Scotland's publicly-owned rail service and entering the battle royale of England's obviously broken service. Only running four minutes late so far.

My first Avanti train of the day arrived... one minute early? A truly unprecedented win for this company.
-
Avanti train no. 2 got in 28 minutes late but that was almost exactly how long I would have waited at Central for my train home. So I get Delay Repay and didn't lose any time.
-
Not a bad day for those cheeky English rail services.

Avanti have done well the past two journeys from Scotland to England but it's time again to see whether or not Avanti West Coast (jointly owned by FirstGroup and Trenitalia) can run a train service on time. So far, an on-time departure with no issues forecast.

Arrived at my destination one minute early. The train ran late for the majority of its journey but made up the time at Birmingham New Street so, for me, a successful journey!
