Between our tasting menu yesterday and seeing THE MENU today, it's been a big weekend of fancy menus. I enjoyed THE MENU: it's great fun if thinner than FLUX GOURMET or BOILING POINT or even The Trip. The SEE HOW THEY RUN of gastronomy films.
If we expand the theme to 'eating in general', then I'll include THE WONDER which we watched yesterday on Netflix. A powerful film somewhat akin in vibes to SAINT MAUD. In a way I can't quite pin down, the fourth wall breaking bits seemed essential to me.
