Watched CAST AWAY last night and was reading about the possible Mandela effect of people remembering a scene in the theatrical release where we see Hanks' character testing his rope for a suicide. But I can't find any hard evidence that such a scene was ever included.On Internet Archive

There is no documentary evidence for this scene existing apart from an unsourced listicle from a content-generation website and an unsourced IMDb trivia entry (anyone can make an IMDb trivia entry). But I've found a lot of people insisting that the scene existed.Permalink On Internet Archive
