Been on the trail of a Great Spotted Woodpecker I could hear in the woods all morning and finally got the briefest of glances of the wee fella. Other highlights are a Redwing, a Blackcap, two Nuthatches, and two deer that ran out right in front of me.Permalink On Internet Archive

I saw a bird from behind in the woods this morning about the size of a woodpigeon but wasn't sure about it. I spent at least 10 minutes trying to get a better angle but ultimately lost it.
