After quite a long time, I'm finally close to finishing Kim Stanley Robinson's Ministry for the Future. And despite the praise for it from figures like Barack Obama, it just isn't as strong to me as his other novels like New York 2140.Permalink On Internet Archive

There's some fascinating ideas and a sense of optimism to be sure but I was most interested in the threads around ecoterrorism which, as @NussbaumAbigail points out in her review, Robinson picks up and drops without proper consideration of the consequences.On Internet Archive
