Mask compliance in the queue for my booster vaccination is higher than your average English supermarket but not as high as you'd expect given the context.
-
Two queues here: one for walk-ins; one for booked appointments. Women and younger men tend to ask which queue is which and then are incredulous when told that the longer queue is for booked appointments.
-
Older (mostly white) men tend to stride to the front of the queue, discover that, yes, the queue system does apply to them, and have to walk all the way to the back of the queue.

The doctor told me that some people waited for six hours at that vaccination centre yesterday. She was trying to best her total from yesterday of 60 people vaccinated in a day.
