        1. I think if you're making a documentary series about 9/11 and Covid-19, two subjects that have had conspiracy theories built up around them, it's OK to spend some time in one episode of your four episode series presenting one conspiracy theory in a responsibly edited way.

Different context but I'm thinking of Claude Lanzmann's UN VIVANT QUI PASSE (A VISITOR FROM THE LIVING) where the whole documentary is one interview with a Red Cross inspector who gave a Nazi concentration camp a pass. Lanzmann masterfully gives him enough rope to hang himself.

Who knows now because he's edited his final episode but it does sound like that's what Lee was doing with the 9/11 conspiracists.

I'm also not sure why Spike Lee has attracted this ire for a portion of his four episode series when Oliver Stone has a whole two-hour JFK conspiracy film that premiered at Cannes earlier this year.
