  1. It's six years later and I still regularly think about this painting that we saw in the breakfast room of our hotel in Florence of a horse plunging off a cliff to its inevitable death.

      We went to the Galleria degli Uffizi on that trip. We saw Michaelangelo's David and the Duomo di Firenze. It's still the ghoulish horse painting that I return to in my memory.
