    1. I've been massively enjoying @xenogothic's book on Mark Fisher and left melancholy but it's taking me ages to read because I find it so viscerally scary in its confrontation of the horror of the occultural changes in technologies of thought required to escape capitalism.

    The book's focus on 'egress' really draws out Fisher's obsession with the Outside that I investigated on a very surface level in my dissertation on the Weird and New Sincerity. Really diving into that Outside is terrifying.
