Big fan of how my employer regularly sends big school-wide announcements on Friday afternoon. Definitely not a cowardly tactic to get news out before the weekend and minimise employees' chance of responding or talking with each other about it.Permalink On Internet Archive

I tried to be aware of this when I was a manager and, unless it was burningly urgent, would save updates on Friday afternoon until Monday morning (or the next day I would be around) to take feedback / criticism.On Internet Archive
