  1. DICK JOHNSON IS DEAD is on Netflix today and it's a beautiful, wildly inventive, and shockingly intimate portrayal of grief, loss, and family. I came for the David Lynch reference in the title and stayed for Dick Johnson's innate charm.

      "wildly inventive" is the kind of turn of phrase you'd get in a press release but in my defence I've been reading a lot of #LFF film synopses.
