I was militantly anti-cheddar in my youth but I've really mellowed as I grow older. Cheddar is a fine cheese in moderation. My real beef is with the dominance of cheddar on our supermarket shelves at the expense of other, less mainstream cheeses.On Internet Archive

I just had a nice bit of cheddar on toast. Wonderful. The problem comes when cheddar is all that people buy or is all that is available. There's a whole wide world of cheeses out there and eating only cheddar is a sad limiting of experience.Permalink On Internet Archive
