It is an achingly beautiful film. The yearning to have someone see you and to be seen: it made my heart ache. It's wonderful.

It's rare to see a film so fully immersed in the female gaze that when a man rocks up in the third act, it feels like a grotesque intrusion.

Claire Mathon's cinematography is crisp and beautiful and lush. There's not much music in the film so when it is used, it's strikingly effective culminating in a long final shot set to music that I never wanted to end.
