A new review from me! VHYES is a celebration of the lost aesthetics of VHS and '80s late-night TV. I wrote about what it owes to similar absurdist pieces like Tim and Eric and Too Many Cooks and what the film says about the nature of a world mediated by the gaze of recording. @TAKEONECinema/1224641244963303424

VHYES also has commonalities in terms of absurdism and satire with GREENER GRASS which was one of my favourite films of last year youtube.com/watch?v=iyOvQfgQhKQ

Listened to the latest @theflophousepod on the way home from work and I was pleased to hear @dankmccoy making the same comparison between VHYES and GREENER GRASS as absurdist sketch films with darker sensibilities.
