Damon Lindelof's Watchmen understands that Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' Watchmen was trying to /say something/ about the politics of /its time/ and used the predominance of superhero comics to do that. And that's something that DC's Watchmen sequel, Doomsday Clock, doesn't understand. It thinks Watchmen was about the characters rather than the message and that's why it's put the Watchmen characters in a regular crossover comic that doesn't fit for them.Permalink On Internet Archive
