I rewatched THE FOUNTAIN: it's undoubtedly Darren Aronofsky's best film. I'd forgotten that the film is driven by Hugh Jackman's character(s) searching for a cure for brain tumours and, given that I lost a friend to a brain tumour this year, it made for an emotional viewing.On Internet Archive

Clint Mansell's score for this film is transcendent. It really makes the movie in a way that I can only compare to Mica Levi's score for UNDER THE SKIN. Those movies /need/ those scores.Permalink On Internet Archive
