You'd be forgiven for missing it since it came out on Friday afternoon and wasn't tweeted about from Cilip accounts but @CILIPinfo issued a response to the open letter sharing concerns about the Employer Partner Scheme and the relationship with GLL and MoD cilip.org.uk/news/460755/Response-to-open-letter-to-CILIP.htm

There's a lot to unpack in this thoroughly unsatisfactory response and I'll leave that to the original writers of the letter. The response itself also advises me that I shouldn't discuss this on Twitter. Which, fuck that.

They specifically mention that there is merit to the argument around (mis)use of language in the Employer Partner Scheme which is good. My longish-form thoughts on this are in this thread: @SimonXIX/1143442398942511104

But the response itself is very dismissive of Cilip members who signed the letter and the webpage demonstrates weirdly bad information management practices (two exclusive publication dates; the URL points to the path /news/ but the 'NEWS' link doesn't lead to that path).

One of the original writers of the letter, @EBNunn, has written an excellent personal response which well articulates her feelings as a Cilip member and addresses Cilip's arguments in their response docs.google.com/document/d/1GqpTJWRE9AxiZCgRMYmpjS6qUx240nOPFgt12VJgq6A/edit
