All the time we've lived in this part of London, there's been a homeless woman who sits beneath the underpass. She always said hello and had time for a chat if you wanted and, though she never asked for anything, she happily received any spare food or bottles of water.Permalink On Internet Archive

Last night, a little memorial appeared where she always sat. There's flowers and cards and her name spelled out in chalk. I didn't even know her name until yesterday. I hope she knew what a part of people's lives she was. She deserved better. All homeless people deserve better.On Internet Archive
