              #OpenRepo2019 DuraSpace embraced the idea of a consortium for membership fees and moved to a model that was inclusive and suited to the European model of universities. The DSpace Konsortium Deutschland launched in 2018.

          #OpenRepo2019 They're now working on building a community of communities and bringing together regional user groups, working groups, and other groups like OpenAIRE users, COAR, Google Scholar users, LA Referencia, etc.

        #OpenRepo2019 The lesson is that there is no community without personal engagement. Individuals do things for the community: /individuals/ perform labour and if you want the community to do something, you must help the community to be able to do so.

      #OpenRepo2019 An open-source community needs to know itself locally and globally, it needs to respect differences and be receptive to change, it needs to be open and transparent. Also applies to other communities in LIS, in activism, in culture, etc.
