#OpenRepo2019 For the repository of scholarly research, they have two separate Symplectic CRISs going into their EPrints instance and one Pure CRIS. The joys of integrating multiple university systems into one user interface.

#OpenRepo2019 White Rose refers to two repositories with very different use groups: the scholarly research one is largely used by library staff; the thesis one is largely used by postgrads who use it once to deposit their single thesis.

#OpenRepo2019 They found that two repositories was better than one because it meant less compromise in design and allows the two interfaces to have designs best suited to their different user groups. That's a wonderful point.

#OpenRepo2019 IT is often focused on consolidating systems and if there is a valid need for two repositories for any reason, it's important to articulate that and make the case.
