Well, I'll be damned. Avengers: Endgame (2019) pulled it out of the bag. I have some reservations about the treatment of women characters in the film but goddamn if that wasn't an actually satisfying, balanced movie.On Internet Archive

Keeping it vague because of spoilers but my reservations about Endgame are building up as I reflect on it. I still think it was narratively satisfying - which I wasn't convinced it would be after Infinity War - but it didn't do the things that I would have liked it to do.Permalink On Internet Archive
