The film ably shows how one movement is progressive aimed at redressing power imbalances and the other is regressive aimed at preserving the status quo of power relations; one movement is open and proud and the other hides behind masks and anonymity.Permalink On Internet Archive

The film itself lacks subtlety particularly in how it links historical events to contemporary politics and I think that's because Lee doesn't want to be subtle. So the lack of subtlety and the winks at the audience with lines about 'Making America Great Again' become Brechtian.Permalink On Internet Archive
