        1. I've been reading @OrderGoodDeath founder Caitlin Doughty's book and thinking about preparations for my death. It doesn't take long to think about what you want done with your body after death and to talk to your loved ones about it to save them stress after you die.

        If you're in the UK, the website mydecisions.org.uk/ (built by the charity Compassion in Dying @AGoodDeath) is a good way to quickly make an Advance Decision or Advance Statement expressing your preferences for the event that you are unable to make decisions.

      If your online presence is structured around the Google ecosystem, you can use Google's Inactive Account Manager to give control over your account to named individuals in the event of a period of sustained inactivity myaccount.google.com/inactive

    You can also put your master password in your will or include a list of your passwords for key online services.

      I haven't made a will yet because I want to do that with my wife but there are charities to help you do this or, if you're a trade union member, your union may offer services to make wills or discounts on wills (e.g. ucu.org.uk/lawextra#wills)
