Critically pondering on my preference for GPLv3 as my open-source license of choice choosealicense.com/
-
Since I don't use NC, ND, or SA Creative Commons licenses for content because of the restrictions imposed, why do I use GPLv3 for software when it restricts others from distributing closed-source derivatives of that software?
-
The MIT License seems closer in spirit to CC BY. Perhaps I should switch to that?

(For software I write which isn't derived from other software with pre-existing license restrictions i.e. any GPL-licensed software.)
