These are exactly the excuses I've heard from even the largest university libraries as to why they won't use open-source library systems: it's "too difficult" to use; "there's no guarantee it'll work properly". @wigglymittens/1012278427158810624Permalink On Internet Archive

Open-source software is among the most reliable in the world (Apache HTTP server, MySQL, Android, Linux) and, certainly for library systems, is no worse than the proprietary systems which are difficult to use and do not work properly.Permalink On Internet Archive
