@moananddrone @r_n12 It comes down to me being able to tolerate more tweeness and pretension (and more problematically overwhelming whiteness) for an interesting visual style. That said, I think I also interpret some of what you'd find twee as delightful too.Permalink On Internet Archive

@moananddrone @r_n12 Also, if you want Anderson's visual style but with less tweeness, you should watch Roy Andersson's films. They're terrific and have a lot more of a Godardian undertone.On Internet Archive
